Prevent and Protect is the organization that identifies best practices programs designed to help prevent wrongdoing and promote "rightdoing" within religious organizations. The Prevent and Protect programs empower organizations and people to better control risk and improve the lives of all those who interact with the Church. The "Protecting God's Children" classes are meant for adults (over the age of 18) who are involved in a church ministry or teaching effort that interact with minors. It is required for all church and school staff.
There are teaching modules that need to be completed on a regular basis to keep staff up-to-date with learning how to prevent and report abuse.
